EQUAZENMum™ is a supplement containing omega-3 fatty acids and high in DHA and EPA, which was developed specially for the needs of women planning pregnancy, during pregnancy and when breastfeeding.

• Provides optimal preparation of the body when pregnancy is planned
• Meets omega-3 fatty acid requirements, especially DHA, before and during pregnancy and during the lactation period

BEFORE PREGNANCY

• Physiologically, an early and regular supply of the important fatty acid
• DHA is crucial for the development and function of:
  • the baby’s brain
  • the retina and thus vision
• The omega-3 fatty acid requirement can be met by eating fish or by taking
• 500 mg EPA and DHA daily in the form of plain fish oil or capsules

DURING PREGNANCY AND LACTATION

• The foetus is supplied with DHA in particular via the umbilical cord
• The baby relies on a direct supply of DHA in breast milk
• A daily dose of at least 200 mg DHA provides an optimal supply for mother and baby
